Free Sample Lecture: Hibernate 1st Level Cache

Take your skills to the next level!

The Persistence Hub is the place to be for every Java developer. It gives you access to all my premium video courses, monthly Java Persistence News, monthly coding problems, and regular expert sessions.

I’m currently recording the Hibernate Performance Tuning Online Training and today I want to share the lecture about Hibernate’s 1st level cache with you.

Hibernate activates the 1st level cache by default and uses it to optimize the performance of your application if you don’t prevent it.

OK, you probably wonder why you should prevent Hibernate from using the cache and optimizing the performance. That doesn’t make much sense, right?

It often happens by accident if you don’t know about the 1st level cache and the situations in which Hibernate can use it. But more about that in the video at the top of this page.

This was a free sample lecture from my Hibernate Performance Tuning Online Training.
If you like to learn more about getting the best performance out of Hibernate, make sure to join until January 31st to save up to $200.
